Who we are
We are Diana and Thomas Frye. We met over the airwaves (CB Radio) in 1976 and got married in 1977. We have been going strong ever since. Together we have raised four children and now have seven grandchildren.
Life was going quite fine until tragedy struck in November of 2021. We were at our daughter's house for annual family Thanksgiving. We had just arrived and finished unloading the goodies we had brought from the car. Diana suddenly fell back on the couch and was unable to get back up. Moments later, we realized that something was wrong and 911 was called.
Diana was transported by ambulance to the local hospital and immediately transferred by life flight to OSU hospital. The next couple of weeks were spent in the ICU. Once Diana was stable enough to go home, she was transferred to a rehabilitation center. One hundred days later she came home, which was an exciting day for all involved, especially Diana.
This is where we are today. It has been almost fifteen months since she came home. Diana is still taking physical therapy and is able to walk with the use of a walker. She has made a lot of progress, but unfortunately, she still has a long way to go. I am very proud of her for her hard work and the fact that she has refused to quit.
We have learned a lot about home care. Some of the things we tried to do have worked well and others have been a total bust. We will be posting articles on our blog page as time allows. Our hope is that our readers will find this information helpful.
